Tammy Becker, Head Coach
Tammy has been coaching volleyball for over 23 years, in addition to her career as an educator for 31 years. Over the years, she's experienced numerous successes on the court, including coaching 12 teams who've earned bids for the USA Volleyball Jr National Championships. Her teams have routinely finished in the final four and notably have won several national qualifiers as well, along with numerous local tournaments. Tammy is excited to use her knowledge and experience she has gained over the last 23 years to help drive the Marquette Volleyball Program to new levels, as well as help motivate and develop the student athletes for a successful life beyond high school and volleyball. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys every moment she can with her two daughters (both MHS Volleyball alumni), as well as spending time with her two "doodle" dogs, friends and other family members. She also enjoys working out and traveling all over the Caribbean.
Matt Shea, Varsity Assistant Coach
Matt is new to the St. Louis area, but is already very active in both the adult and junior's volleyball scene here. Prior to coming to St. Louis, Matt was the Assistant Coach for Clemson University Women's Volleyball Team. He also worked as an assistant coach for USC men's club teams, Erskine college men's and women's varsity programs, and club teams both in in Atlanta and most recently in St. Louis for Rockwood Thunder. When Matt is not competing or coaching volleyball, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Dr. Susan Shea, and as well as making memories with their family and friends.
Andrew Hummert, JV Head Coach
Andrew is employed by Rockwood School district as a building technician in the technology department. He has 4 years of coaching experience for HPSTL 16-18's. He also was the Varsity asst coach for both boys and girls at Parkway North last season. Andrew was a 1st team all conference player for 3 years, 1st team all-state, and a state semi-finalist and district champion in 2014. Outside of volleyball he likes to work out and is a huge STL Blues fan!!
Kacey McBride, Freshmen Coach
Kacey has been coaching volleyball for 7 years. For the last 5 years, she has been teaching chemistry as well as coaching at Marquette. She has been a part of multiple district championships, as well as 2 state appearances in the Final 4. Kacey has a wealth of knowledge about the game and was a starting setter at EHS during her high school career. In her free time, Kacey enjoys hanging out with her two adorable little girls, her husband, her family, and spending time outdoors.
Brianna Becker, Freshmen Coach
Brianna is currently employed by Lindbergh School District as the Recreation Asst for the Community Ed Dept. Brianna is a Marquette HS Alumni. While playing volleyball for the mustangs she was a 2 time All-conference and All-district player. She competed at Nationals with her club team for multiple years with her as the starting setter. She went on to become the Vice President of Mizzou Club Women's Volleyball Team and was chosen as the most valuable player in 2017 MWPCV conference tournament. She has been an asst coach in Rockwood Thunder for multiple different age groups and was a head coach for Club Como in Columbia MO. Outside of volleyball, Brianna likes to workout, loves the STL Blues, enjoys taking George, her great pyrenees dog for walks, and is planning her wedding in June.
